Ho conosciuto per caso i Gotthard e subito mi hanno colpito il sound diretto e realistico, i brani sempre ben arrangiati e armonicamente immediati, l'ottimo lavoro di chitarre sempre al posto giusto nel momento giusto... e la voce di Steve... la potenza, l'estensione, l'espressività e la capacità di comunicare il pathos che il brano richiedeva. Pochissimi Singer possono vantare queste qualità anche sul palco... ma Steve dava il meglio di se anche sul palco. Non l'ho conosciuto personalmente, ma solo attraverso la musica... ma credo di poter dire che fosse un grande artista ed un grade uomo. Porgo le mie più sentite condoglianze alla famiglia, agli amici e alla band... ha lasciato un vuoto incolmabile, ma anche un segno indelebile. Ci mancherai Steve, ma la tua voce continuerà ad accopagnarci nel tuo ricordo.

Es fällt noch immer schwer zu begreifen, dass Steve Lee nicht mehr da ist. Er war nicht nur ein guter Musiker, sondern auch ein sympatischer Mensch, der eine große Nähe zu seinem Publikum hatte. Obwohl ich ihn nicht persönlich kannte, so habe ich trotzdem das Gefühl, einen guten Freund verloren zu haben. Ich bete für ihn und seine Familie.
