You were one of my first big stars. I grew up with the songs of Gotthard and found my own way into the language of music through them. Just recently, I discovered your appearance on Ayreon - it gave me new inspiration to follow my own musical dreams. Thank you for what you were! Your voice will never fall silent for me.

This is so hard to believe...One of my all time greats is away, hopefully in a better place. Steve Lee was always one of the best singers for me, I really dig his voice, so perfect for hard rock music. After having found the band Gotthard from a rock site I was blown away. What songs, what a voice. There aren't too many here in Finland that know of the band, but everyone who I've played their music to have liked it very much. According to many people who had the privilege to meet Steve I have realized that he wasn't just a great musician, he also had a great personality.
All I can say is this, I hope Steve's family and closest friends keep fighting through this sad time. Time will heal.
