It's hard to think that Steve is no more with us.... I wanna became a musician. this is my dream... and if I have this dream, i have to thank Steve and others like him... I will never forget what he did for me.. his voce will never die, because it will forever live within us..

Rest in peace my friend...

Rock on!

"Everything`s gone, far away
Here we're standing now
With no words left to say"

Nearly a week after the accident I still can't believe what happened. No more Steve Lee live on stage, doing what he did so well, singing with Gotthard.

It's been 16 years ago since I first saw the band (1994, the Via Rock festival in Belgium). I thought Gotthard were the best band that day. Steve's voice was unique, already back then, and he sure know how to put on a show.

The next time I saw the band was in 1996 in Nidrum, Belgium. The image of Steve opening up the show under a single spotlight sitting in a rocking chair and playing to intro to Sister Moon has been stuck inside my mind ever since. What a great show it was that night. Afterwards one of my friends (who works for the record company) took us backstage. It was the first time I've met Steve in person. He and the other guys were very friendly and we all had a great night.

Over the years to follow I've seen and met the band many times. On stage, Steve ruled as always. With a great voice, and an even greater performance. Standing on top of the world, happy, joking, full of life and more than willing to share that with the crowd. He wasn't always there backstage, but when he was he was always smiling, warm, friendly and happy to, once again, see our little group of three.

There are so many great stories to tell, and so many happy memories. Trips to see Gotthard in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland, witnessing Steve's drum battles with Henna, his acoustic songs with Leo, Steve making jokes by going with his fingers through an imaginary lyric book whenever a fan would ask for an old, not-played-for-a-long-time-song, warm welcomes whenever we would meet. I'll cherish these memories forever. I'm sure lots of other fans will do the same with their memories.

My thoughts are with Brigitte, Steve's family and the band! I can not imagine what they must be going through right now.

I hope that Steve has found his piece of Heaven! Thank you for the music and all the good times. Rest in Peace, Steve Lee!
