I have only just read about the death of Steve Lee. I am utterly shocked at the loss of such a talented, genuine and utter gentleman. I have never been a personal friend of Steve's, but have been a fan of Gotthard, and in particular, his amazing voice for many years. I have seen Gotthard on several occasions when they have toured in England, particularly their shows at JB's in Dudley. It was at one of these shows a few years ago, when Steve and the rest of the band generously gave up their time to allow me to have my photograph taken with them after the show. Everybody in the band were so friendly and welcoming, but it was my few minutes with Steve which sticks out in my memory. He was such a gentleman, and was genuine in his time with me - even playing down my comment to him about having one of - if not THE best voices in rock music today. I feel very honoured to have met such a talented and genuinely nice man and will never forget the generosity shown by him towards me. I send out my condolences to his girlfriend, family and friends - Steve's departure from this life is a loss to us all.
