Dear Steve,
I was driving home from work when a friend called me with the sad news. I thought my heart stopped when I heard it and I haven't stopped crying since.
Our deepest condolences go out to your family, girlfriend and the rest of Gotthard.
It's very sad and not fair to loose someone who made such beautiful music which has meant so much in my (our) life. It helped us get through a lot of tough times and celebrated with us in special times. Even on our weddingday we felt as if you were there celebrating with us, because of the personal message Gotthard recorded for us. At concerts you always came to have a chat with us and even if we hadn't seen eachother for 4 years, you always recognized us. That shows how much you loved your fans and that showed in your music. I never met a more charismatic and loving person than you and I loved you for that.
But sadly, you have been taken away from us way to soon.
We'll miss you, Steve. But we'll never forget you. The memories we got to share with you and the music you made will forever live on in our hearts... and so will you.
Rest in peace.... Hope we see eachother again someday.
