Not only is one of the greatest voices in rock gone, but also a wonderful human being and a great musician. I have had the chance to meet Steve twice and met a down to earth man who met his fellow humans with respect. I will allways cherish those memories. My deepest hartfelt condolanses goes to Birgitte and Steves family and to the other members of the band. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. R.I.P Steve, you have found your way to heaven.

Ich habe gestern vom tragischen Tod von Steve erfahren und möchte hiermit seiner Familie ,Freunden und der Band mein tiefes Beileid und Mitgefühl aussprechen. Durch meine Arbeit bei Gotthard , im Jahre 2005, hatte ich die Möglichkeit, auch Steve persönlich kennen und schätzen zu lernen und weiß, dass die Welt einen großartigen Musiker und sympathischen Menschen, durch diesen Unfall, verliert.

My deepest condolences and prayers to his family, friends and bandmates. This is such a shock and tragic loss, not only for the music, that it can't be expressed by words. Nobody couldn't expect that. Life is definitely not about justice... it takes good and kindhearted people from us. I regret that I couldn't meet Steve in person but one day I will - in the better place. Until then he will live in great songs. May your soul rest in peace, Mr. Steve Lee.
