When you are a rock fan, you usually like some good new bands that cross your way through life, but there are always those who stand out, being it for a riff or the mood that the music creates, and many times it`s the singer, that guy that comes out with an amazing voice, and simply crashes you with the naturality in wich he delivers those unbelievable sounds, especially live.
And for me, Steve was one of those guys. I live in Brazil, and i`ve been a rock n`roll fan for too long of a time, but i only came across with gotthard`s career recently, when they came for the live n` louder rock festival. They blew me away, and within a week i was a fan. Sang the songs, bought the records, wore the shirts and watched the videos. And Steve Lee was the big responsible for this. I`m not diminishing Leo and the others, they rock too. But Steve had that x-factor, that makes you workship those guys when they`re up there on that stage, guys like Steven Tyler, David Lee Roth, David Coverdale. And Steve Lee.
I cannot describe the impact of Steve`s passing. I had so many hopes that i could watch another gotthard show, now as a long time fan who knew all the songs. Unfortunatelly, that will never happen. Like Freddie Mercury, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain, Steve`s Energy within the band grew so immense, that the hole left can never, should never be mended.
God bless Steve, his band and his family. I`m so sorry, as a fan and as a person.
